Responsibilities
- Process and verify invoices for accuracy, completeness, and coding.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for all financial records.
- Prepare and issue payments via ACH, wire transfers, or checks.
- Assist with month-end close procedures and ad-hoc financial reporting.
- Communicate effectively with vendors to answer inquiries and resolve payment issues.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting best practices.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- 1-3 years of proven experience in Accounts Payable or a related administrative role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot data errors.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
