Responsibilities
- Process and verify invoices for accuracy, ensuring they are coded, approved, and paid according to company policy.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Maintain and update the AP ledger and documentation files.
- Assist with month-end close procedures and financial reporting.
- Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve billing questions and payment issues.
- Perform bank reconciliations and manage petty cash accounts.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in Accounts Payable or general accounting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
- Flexibility to work part-time hours (e.g., 20-25 hours per week).
