Responsibilities
- Process and verify invoices for accuracy, proper coding, and approval workflows.
- Reconcile vendor statements on a weekly basis and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Manage the accounts payable general ledger and ensure proper documentation is filed.
- Communicate proactively with vendors regarding invoice status and payment schedules.
- Assist in the month-end closing processes and support financial reporting requirements.
- Utilize AP automation software (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, or QuickBooks) to manage daily transactions.
- Maintain organized digital and physical records of financial documents.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- Previous experience in Accounts Payable (1-2 years preferred for part-time roles).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Experience with AP automation software is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently in a hybrid or remote environment.
- Basic understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
