Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including processing accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
- Assist in the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Utilize QuickBooks Online and Excel to maintain general ledgers and financial reports.
- Support the tax department with data collection and preparation for local and state tax filings.
- Reconcile credit card statements and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
- Prepare and send invoices to clients and follow up on outstanding payments.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably in a small business or public accounting firm.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks Online required) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
