Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and prepare accurate financial statements for review.
- Assist with payroll processing and tax preparation for small to mid-sized business clients.
- Maintain and update financial records using industry-standard software (QuickBooks, Xero, or NetSuite).
- Prepare budgets, track expenses, and provide monthly variance analysis.
- Collaborate with the senior accounting team to resolve discrepancies and improve reporting accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and relevant accounting standards.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or general accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks Online or Sage preferred).
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and Macros).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on clarity.
- Must be available to work approximately 15-20 hours per week on a consistent schedule.
