Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounts payable and receivable transactions with high accuracy.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure data integrity.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports, balance sheets, and income statements.
- Process payroll for a small team of employees and manage 1099 contractor payments.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Perform general ledger maintenance and assist with month-end close procedures.
- Review and code expense reports and vendor invoices.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Bachelor's preferred).
- 1-3 years of relevant accounting or bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) and MS Excel.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
