Responsibilities
- Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management review.
- Payroll Administration: Process payroll for multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and timely disbursement of wages.
- Tax Support: Assist in the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns, including sales and payroll taxes.
- General Ledger: Monitor general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies to ensure the integrity of financial data.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and company policies.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a public accounting firm or corporate environment.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Sage; strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) are essential.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to detect errors and inconsistencies in financial data.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client interactions and reporting.
- Reliability: Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a part-time capacity.
