Role Overview
The Part-Time Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and assisting with various accounting functions. If you have a knack for numbers and a passion for financial accuracy, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts and financial statements.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal and financial requirements.
- Process payroll for a small team of employees.
- Assist with year-end tax preparations and filings.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or general accounting (1-3 years preferred).
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and basic tax regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Reliable internet connection and computer equipment for remote work options.
