Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly with high accuracy.
- Prepare and maintain financial statements, ledgers, and general ledger accounts.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Process payroll for multiple clients, ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
- Assist in tax preparation and filing for small to medium-sized businesses.
- Communicate financial status, updates, and concerns to clients in a clear, professional manner.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in general accounting or bookkeeping is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or Xero is mandatory.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and tax compliance regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple client portfolios effectively.
