Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Assist with monthly and quarterly financial reporting and preparation of trial balances.
- Prepare and process payroll entries, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Support the annual tax preparation process by gathering necessary documentation and schedules.
- Maintain accurate and organized digital and physical filing systems for financial records.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in a small to mid-sized business environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and basic tax compliance principles.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to detect discrepancies and errors.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
