We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Part-Time Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in London. Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare and review monthly and quarterly financial statements and management accounts.
- Handle VAT returns and ensure compliance with HMRC regulations.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions on a monthly basis.
- Assist with payroll processing and expense management.
- Maintain accurate general ledger records and fixed asset schedules.
- Support the finance team with ad-hoc projects and budget analysis.
Qualifications
- ACCA, CIMA, or AAT qualified (or equivalent professional qualification).
- Proven experience in bookkeeping, financial reporting, and general accounting.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage).
- Excellent knowledge of UK tax laws, VAT rules, and financial regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot discrepancies quickly.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
