Responsibilities
- Bookkeeping: Manage daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Tax Preparation: Support the tax department in gathering data and preparing necessary local, state, and federal tax documents.
- General Ledger: Maintain and update the general ledger system, including journal entries and accruals.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with company policies and relevant accounting standards (GAAP).
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a public accounting firm or corporate environment.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online or Xero, and strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Credentials: CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or Enrolled Agent (EA) status is a plus but not mandatory.
- Skills: Strong analytical skills with a high attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client interactions.
