Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis.
- Prepare and maintain accurate general ledger entries and financial reports.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Process payroll for small to medium-sized clients using automated software.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding billing inquiries and financial status.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 1-3 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and MS Excel.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and basic tax preparation principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Reliable internet connection and home office setup required for remote flexibility.
