Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring invoices are paid and receivables collected promptly.
- Perform bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies found.
- Assist with payroll processing for select clients, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Prepare and file local, state, and federal tax documents as required.
- Support the month-end close process by gathering necessary financial data.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- 2+ years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and MS Excel.
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
