Responsibilities
- General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Accounts Processing: Handle the full cycle of accounts payable and receivable, including processing invoices, issuing payments, and following up on collections.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets, ensuring compliance with GAAP.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to identify discrepancies and ensure that all accounts are balanced.
- Compliance & Audits: Support internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and maintaining organized audit trails.
- Tax Preparation: Assist the Senior Accountant with gathering necessary data and documentation for quarterly and annual tax filings.
- Software Maintenance: Keep accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) updated and accurate with current financial data.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of professional accounting experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and experience with cloud-based accounting platforms.
- Attention to Detail: Demonstrated ability to manage complex data sets with a high degree of accuracy and precision.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting to management.
- Integrity: High level of professionalism and ethical standards in handling sensitive financial information.
