Responsibilities
- Manage daily general ledger entries and perform monthly account reconciliations.
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns accurately and on time.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, including invoice verification and payment processing.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal financial control procedures.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
- Provide ad-hoc financial support and analysis to the management team.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience (Part-time or Full-time).
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to spot errors and ensure data integrity.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote/hybrid setting.
