We're seeking a meticulous Part-Time Accountant to support 15-20 clients with monthly bookkeeping, financial reporting, and tax compliance. Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledgers and monthly reconciliations for portfolio companies
- Prepare financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) adhering to GAAP
- Manage accounts payable/receivable and bank account reconciliations
- Support quarterly tax filings and sales tax compliance across multiple states
- Implement and optimize QuickBooks cloud accounting systems
- Collaborate with CFOs on budgeting and variance analysis
- Train clients on financial best practices and software
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance with 3+ years of experience
- CPA certification or CPA candidate with strong ethics
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel
- Proven experience with multi-state tax compliance
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines autonomously
- Strong communication skills for client advisory
- Experience in SaaS or tech startup accounting preferred
