Responsibilities
- Manage Daily Bookkeeping: Accurately record daily transactions, invoices, and payments in our accounting software (QuickBooks/Xero).
- Financial Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a weekly basis to ensure accuracy.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly financial statements and assist in budget preparation for key clients.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices, manage vendor relations, and ensure timely collection of receivables.
- Payroll Support: Assist in processing payroll for select clients, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Compliance & Filing: Assist in the preparation and filing of quarterly and annual tax documents.
- Record Maintenance: Organize and maintain physical and digital filing systems for audit purposes.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in general accounting or bookkeeping.
- Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks, Xero, or similar accounting platforms.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to detect errors and ensure data integrity.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Availability: Must be available for a flexible part-time schedule (approx. 20-25 hours per week).
