Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile multi-currency accounts payable/receivable for 15+ clients
- Prepare monthly management accounts and VAT returns using Xero/QuickBooks
- Conduct bank reconciliations and process bi-weekly payroll
- Analyze financial trends and prepare insightful variance reports
- Ensure compliance with UK GAAP and HMRC regulations
- Assist with annual audits and tax documentation preparation
- Maintain organized digital financial records with version control
Qualifications
- 3+ years of practical accounting experience in UK SME environment
- ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent professional certification
- Advanced proficiency in Excel with VLOOKUP/PIVOT TABLES
- Expert knowledge of Xero/QuickBooks and accounting software integration
- Exceptional attention to detail with 100% reconciliations accuracy
- Strong problem-solving skills for complex financial discrepancies
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Proven experience with multi-currency transactions
