Responsibilities
- Manage General Ledger: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices, verify payments, and manage cash flow efficiently.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Tax Preparation: Support the tax team in gathering necessary documentation for federal and state tax filings.
- Bank Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure discrepancies are resolved promptly.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial processes comply with local and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping, preferably in a part-time or contract capacity.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients and team members effectively.
- Availability: Ability to commit to 15-20 hours per week with some flexibility for meetings.
