Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Maintain and update the general ledger system.
- Process payroll for a small team of employees.
- Assist with year-end tax preparation and filing requirements.
- Review and verify expense reports and invoices.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a small business or accounting firm.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and basic tax regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
