Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly with precision.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and variance analysis.
- Process payroll for a small group of employees accurately and on time.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for all financial documents.
- Assist with year-end tax preparation and audit requests.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant GAAP standards.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in general accounting or bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of basic tax regulations and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines in a remote or hybrid setting.
