Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and profit & loss reports.
- Assist with the preparation of federal and state tax returns and filings.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Process payroll for select clients and ensure compliance with local regulations.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end closing process.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and basic tax regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to clients and team members.
