The Opportunity
As a Credit Analyst, you will play a critical role in assessing the creditworthiness of borrowers and managing risk for our lending portfolio. You will work closely with underwriters and loan officers to ensure our lending standards are met while supporting the financial growth of our clients.
Responsibilities
- Perform in-depth analysis of financial statements, tax returns, and credit reports to evaluate borrower risk.
- Assess and score credit applications to determine approval feasibility.
- Prepare and present detailed credit memos and recommendations to the underwriting committee.
- Monitor existing accounts for changes in financial health or compliance issues.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client files and documentation in the internal database.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex credit issues.
- Identify trends in the market that may impact credit risk.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business preferred.
- Strong mathematical aptitude and high attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel highly desired.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required for business travel.
