As a Night Shift Bookkeeper, you will be the backbone of our financial operations, ensuring that all accounts are up-to-date and accurate before the morning team arrives. We offer a competitive hourly rate, a modern work environment, and the chance to work with a diverse portfolio of accounts.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily accounts payable and accounts receivable processing with a high degree of accuracy.
- Execute bank reconciliations and maintain the general ledger for assigned clients.
- Process payroll entries and manage tax documentation for the night cycle.
- Assist in the preparation of month-end close reports and financial statements.
- Review and verify invoices for completeness and correctness.
- Maintain organized digital filing systems and backup data nightly.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Minimum 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (including formulas and formatting).
- Must be available to work the Night Shift (typically 5:00 PM - 2:00 AM).
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to spot discrepancies quickly.
