Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounts payable and receivable transactions with precision.
- Perform thorough bank reconciliations and credit card statement reviews.
- Process payroll for night shift staff accurately and on time.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Maintain accurate financial records in Sage or Xero.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies.
- Generate financial reports for management review.
Qualifications
- Professional qualification (AAT, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, ideally within a night shift environment.
- Strong proficiency in UK accounting software (Xero, Sage, QuickBooks).
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
- Understanding of UK tax laws and VAT regulations.
- Ability to work independently during night hours.
