You will manage high-volume transactions, ensure compliance, and provide essential reporting during the quieter hours of the night. Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounts payable and accounts receivable processes for a diverse portfolio of clients.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements to ensure 100% accuracy.
- Prepare and post journal entries, adjusting entries, and month-end close reports.
- Process payroll and manage employee timecards with strict adherence to deadlines.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and tax schedules for auditors.
- Monitor and maintain the general ledger system (QuickBooks/Excel).
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional bookkeeping experience, preferably in a night shift or high-volume setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and numbers.
- Must be available to work night shifts (e.g., 6:00 PM - 2:00 AM).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
