Responsibilities
- Process high-volume accounts payable and receivable transactions with a focus on speed and accuracy during night hours.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts to ensure data integrity.
- Prepare and post nightly journal entries and adjust entries to close the financial day.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports, balance sheets, and profit & loss statements.
- Perform quality assurance checks on financial data entered by day-shift accounting staff.
- Respond to vendor inquiries regarding invoices and payments in a timely manner.
- Assist with annual audit preparation and ad-hoc financial analysis tasks.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or financial data processing.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) is required.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Must be available to work night shifts (5:00 PM – 2:00 AM), Monday through Friday.
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor.
