Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledgers and financial records using QuickBooks and Xero
- Process accounts payable/receivable and bank reconciliations nightly
- Generate monthly financial statements and variance analysis reports
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and IRS regulations for Tennessee businesses
- Manage payroll processing and tax filings for 50+ employees
- Collaborate with CPAs during quarterly audits
- Implement internal controls to prevent financial discrepancies
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- 3+ years of night shift bookkeeping experience
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software
- CPA or QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification a major plus
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines in high-volume environments
- Exceptional attention to detail with zero tolerance for errors
- Strong analytical skills for financial data interpretation
- Experience with multi-state payroll processing
