Sacramento Financial Group is currently seeking a dedicated Night Shift Bookkeeper to join our growing team. In this pivotal role, you will manage the company’s financial records during our off-hours, ensuring accuracy and timely processing of accounts payable, receivable, and payroll. You will play a vital role in maintaining our financial integrity while enjoying the benefits of working outside traditional business hours.
Our ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently in a remote or office setting after hours. You will bridge the gap between the night operations and the morning management team, ensuring a seamless financial workflow.
Responsibilities
- Perform the full cycle of bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
- Conduct daily bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accurate and up-to-date.
- Process and verify payroll for night shift staff with high accuracy and strict confidentiality.
- Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all entries are correctly classified and posted.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and summaries for the morning shift management team.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including accruals and adjustments.
- Ensure strict compliance with company financial policies and local accounting regulations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) is required.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot and correct errors quickly.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively during night shifts.
- Excellent communication skills for reporting to the morning team.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
