Job Overview
As a Night Shift Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the financial operations of the company during the overnight shift. Your work ensures that all transactions are recorded accurately and that our reporting processes run smoothly, regardless of the time of day.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable reconciliation.
- Process and verify payroll transactions with a focus on zero-error accuracy.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for all financial documents.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies or outstanding items.
- Ensure strict compliance with company policies, internal controls, and federal accounting regulations.
- Collaborate with the day-shift team to transfer data and resolve outstanding issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- 1-3 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a similar financial role.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently during night shifts without supervision.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
