Responsibilities
- Perform daily accounts payable and receivable processing with a high degree of accuracy.
- Execute and manage the general ledger entries to ensure financial statements reflect true and fair views.
- Conduct nightly bank reconciliations and variance analysis to identify discrepancies immediately.
- Assist in the preparation and posting of journal entries for month-end and year-end close procedures.
- Review and verify invoices and expense reports for compliance with company policies and GAAP standards.
- Maintain and organize financial records and documentation within the secure night shift database.
- Collaborate with the day-shift team to ensure a seamless transition of financial data and reporting.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or high-volume environment.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and internal control procedures.
- Must be available to work a night shift schedule (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM or similar).
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
