Role Overview
As our Night Shift Accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy of our financial records and supporting month-end close processes during off-hours.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full accounts payable and accounts receivable cycle for the night shift operations.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger (GL) to ensure financial data integrity.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports and variance analysis.
- Review and approve invoices and expense reports, verifying compliance with company policies.
- Maintain and organize digital and physical financial documentation and filing systems.
- Collaborate with the day-shift finance team during handover periods to ensure seamless operations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP) is highly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and data analysis).
- Solid working knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Ability to work independently in a night shift environment with minimal supervision.
- Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
