Job Summary:
As a Night Shift Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial integrity of our operations during off-hours. You will be responsible for processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and preparing nightly reports to ensure accuracy before the start of the business day.
Responsibilities
- Process nightly financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, with high accuracy.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements to ensure data integrity.
- Generate and distribute nightly financial reports to the management team.
- Perform routine audits of financial data to identify discrepancies or errors.
- Assist in the preparation of month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Maintain accurate digital and physical records of all financial documentation.
- Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve billing inquiries.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in general accounting or bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and MS Excel (pivot tables, vlookups).
- Must be available to work night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of GAAP principles is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.
