Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and posted in a timely manner.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including verifying invoice accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and prepare weekly/monthly financial reports.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including adjusting entries and variance analysis.
- Support the finance team with internal audits and special financial projects as needed.
- Maintain organized and secure filing systems for both digital and physical financial documents.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in general accounting or a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and basic financial reporting standards.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively during night shifts.
- Excellent analytical skills and a high level of attention to detail.
