Responsibilities
- Manage daily general ledger entries and perform reconciliations for accounts payable and receivable.
- Oversee the night shift closing procedures to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Generate financial statements, variance analyses, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes with a focus on detail and accuracy.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies immediately.
- Support the internal audit process and maintain compliance with GAAP standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a night shift environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, general ledger functions, and financial reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills under pressure.
- Must be willing to work 2nd or 3rd shift.
