The Role
As our Night Shift Accountant, you will be responsible for the accurate recording of financial transactions, preparation of financial reports, and ensuring all accounting procedures comply with regulatory standards. Your attention to detail will be critical as you manage the closing of daily books.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily general ledger entries and perform month-end close procedures.
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements with high precision.
- Process accounts payable and receivable invoices accurately.
- Prepare financial statements and variance analysis reports for senior management.
- Assist in internal and external audits during the night cycle.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company financial policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- CPA certification or 2+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Proven experience working in a night shift or 3rd shift environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle).
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during night hours.
