Role Overview:
As the Night Shift Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial records. You will play a key role in the month-end close process and general ledger maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Execute daily accounts payable and accounts receivable processing with high accuracy.
- Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger journal entries during night operations.
- Assist in the preparation and review of monthly financial statements and variance reports.
- Ensure strict compliance with GAAP and internal control procedures.
- Review and approve invoices for payment within established budget parameters.
- Collaborate with the day-shift team to resolve discrepancies and facilitate a seamless workflow transition.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Availability to work a consistent night shift schedule (e.g., 4:00 PM – 1:00 AM or 5:00 PM – 2:00 AM).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, or NetSuite).
- Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
