Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end month-end and year-end closing process, ensuring all financial statements are accurate and timely.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies with precision.
- Process and verify accounts payable and receivable transactions during the evening hours.
- Prepare and analyze variance reports to identify trends and support decision-making.
- Assist external auditors during their quarterly and annual reviews.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure all journal entries are properly documented.
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) to update financial records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in general accounting or bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and accounting software.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is a plus.
- Must be available to work a night shift schedule (typically 5:00 PM - 2:00 AM).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
