Responsibilities
- Manage month-end closing processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable cycles and maintain accurate general ledger records
- Prepare and analyze financial statements for internal stakeholders and regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with audit teams to ensure SOX compliance and internal control effectiveness
- Implement process improvements using accounting software and ERP systems
- Monitor cash flow projections and provide financial insights to executive leadership
- Coordinate tax preparation and documentation for federal and state filings
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 3+ years of professional accounting experience with night shift exposure
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel with macros
- Demonstrated expertise in GAAP compliance and financial reporting standards
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during night hours
- Experience in multi-state accounting operations preferred
