Responsibilities
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process and verify invoices, ensure accurate data entry, and manage vendor payments on a nightly basis.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accounted for and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Update and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and posted by the close of business.
- Month-End Close Support: Assist in the closing of monthly financial periods, including preparing trial balances and adjusting entries.
- Financial Reporting: Generate accurate financial reports, including variance analysis and cash flow summaries, for the next morning's review.
- Compliance & Auditing: Maintain organized records and documentation to support internal and external audits.
- Expense Management: Review and approve employee expense reports and corporate credit card statements.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required. CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in general accounting, AP/AR, or bookkeeping.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel (advanced functions), and accounting software.
- Availability: Must be available to work the Night Shift (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM or 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and ensure data integrity.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting findings to management.
