Responsibilities
- Execute month-end closing procedures and reconcile general ledger accounts with precision
- Prepare and analyze financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance for government-contracted entities
- Manage accounts payable/receivable cycles with zero-tolerance error margins
- Conduct internal audits to detect financial discrepancies and implement corrective measures
- Oversee tax preparation processes for multi-state corporate entities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex financial discrepancies
- Maintain confidential financial records with bank-level security protocols
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 3+ years of public/private accounting experience with night shift exposure
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and advanced Excel modeling
- Deep understanding of federal tax regulations and DC compliance requirements
- Proven track record in forensic accounting and fraud detection
- Certification in forensic accounting or internal auditing (CIA/CFF)
