Responsibilities
- Process Payroll: Accurately calculate and process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for all employees using our internal systems.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate employee records, including personal data, tax forms, and time-off requests.
- Time Tracking: Review and reconcile time sheets and timesheets to ensure accurate hours worked.
- Reporting: Prepare payroll reports for management and assist with year-end tax document preparation (W-2s and 1099s).
- Inquiry Resolution: Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding payroll-related questions and issues.
- Compliance: Stay updated on local, state, and federal payroll regulations and ensure our processes remain compliant.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience: No prior payroll experience required. General office or administrative experience is a plus.
- Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel is a plus).
- Attributes: Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with team members and answer employee questions patiently.
- Reliability: Ability to meet tight deadlines and handle sensitive financial data with confidentiality.
