Responsibilities
- Manage Daily Transactions: Accurately process daily bookkeeping tasks, including data entry, journal entries, and maintaining the general ledger.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accounted for and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Assist in managing invoices, processing payments, and tracking outstanding accounts receivable to ensure timely collections.
- Financial Reporting: Support the preparation of financial statements and reports for clients, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards.
- Software Proficiency: Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks Online and Xero to organize financial records efficiently.
- Client Support: Communicate with clients regarding billing inquiries and provide basic financial summaries upon request.
- Compliance: Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is a strong plus.
- Experience: No prior professional experience required; internship experience is a significant advantage.
- Technical Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel is essential) and familiarity with accounting software is a plus.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors, maintain accuracy, and ensure data integrity in financial records.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
