Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts: Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Reconciliation: Perform daily bank reconciliations and credit card statement reconciliations.
- Data Entry: Maintain and update financial records using QuickBooks Online and Excel spreadsheets.
- Invoicing: Generate and send invoices to clients and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Expense Reporting: Assist in categorizing and coding business expenses for tax purposes.
- Reporting: Prepare basic financial reports and assist with month-end close processes.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- Experience: Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience is preferred but not required; we value attitude and aptitude over tenure.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) is required.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to spot discrepancies and errors in financial data with high accuracy.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with clients and team members.
- Software: Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) is a strong plus.
