Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including accurate data entry and bank reconciliations.
- Support the preparation of monthly management accounts and quarterly VAT returns.
- Organize and maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and filing systems.
- Learn and utilize industry-standard accounting software such as Xero or Sage.
- Perform general office administrative duties to ensure the finance department operates efficiently.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes under supervision.
Qualifications
- GCSEs or A-Levels in Maths or English (or equivalent professional qualification).
- A keen interest in pursuing a career in accountancy or finance.
- Strong attention to detail and high numerical accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel is a plus).
