Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily maintenance of general ledger accounts and financial records.
- Process and reconcile accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and timely.
- Prepare and assist with month-end and year-end close procedures, including journal entries and accruals.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure data integrity.
- Generate financial reports and assist in the preparation of financial statements for management review.
- Support the audit process by providing requested documentation and schedules.
- Maintain and organize physical and electronic filing systems for financial documents.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (0-2 years of experience preferred).
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros) highly desirable.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify discrepancies in financial data.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on accuracy.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for reporting to management.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
