Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards.
- Accounts Management: Process and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure all account balances are correct and discrepancies are resolved.
- Data Entry & Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in our accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero).
- Compliance: Assist in the preparation of tax documents and ensure all financial procedures comply with local and federal regulations.
- Support: Provide analytical support to the senior accounting team and assist with budget preparation and variance analysis.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Recent graduates are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Experience: 0-2 years of relevant experience; internship experience is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and familiarity with accounting software.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and ensure data integrity.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.
- Self-Starter: Ability to work independently in a remote setting while managing multiple priorities.
