What You Will Do:
Our ideal candidate is proactive and possesses a strong desire to master the fundamentals of accounting. You will be responsible for supporting the finance team in maintaining accurate financial records and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts.
- Prepare and maintain standard financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Perform basic bookkeeping duties and assist with data entry into accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Sage).
- Review invoices for accuracy and ensure proper coding and approval.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or currently pursuing a degree with an expected graduation date within the next 6 months).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.) and familiarity with accounting software.
- Excellent attention to detail and high standards of accuracy.
- Understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP) and general ledger accounting.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.
