Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance reporting
- Reconcile bank accounts and subsidiary ledgers to ensure accuracy
- Assist in month-end closing processes and journal entry preparation
- Process accounts payable/receivable transactions within NetSuite
- Support annual audit preparation and documentation requests
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives for accounting workflows
- Maintain compliance with GAAP and Illinois state tax regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
- 0-2 years of accounting internship or entry-level experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Familiarity with QuickBooks or NetSuite preferred
- Strong attention to detail with error-spotting capabilities
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
